Need Help! Can't upload files from iPhone to PC

Whenever I try to copy pictures from my iPhone 5s to my Windows 10 computer, I get this message: "The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected." I get the message when I click on the 100APPLE folder. It worked before the latest OS system upgrade (10.0.1).

The computer does recognize the iPhone so it's not the ports on my PC. I can charge my iPhone from any USB port on the computer.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I see that you're getting an error message when trying to copy photos from your iPhone to your computer. I know it's important to be able to copy your photos to your computer, and I'm happy to help.
